intertexuality and bootleg culture

in my own words I think of intertextuality as the relationship between two or more texts. So if you told the story of Moby Dick but then you threw in some details from Cinderella and all the mash ups that dj's do that we read about. The dj's do work with the songs but they defiantly don't do as much as the artists actually do.


the hit movie pitch perfect had plenty of mash ups from artists like David Guetta and Simple Minds and Jesse Jay and B.O.B all in the last dance number itself.
